Work Package 1 - Exploitable Data Structure

  • Participants: Oracle, AUTH, CHU Rouen, CHU Lille, CH Denain, IDEEA, Medasys, Region H, Vidal
  • Objectives: To identify and gather all available information from hospitals databases, pharmaceutical companies and national organizations involved in Adverse Drug Events(ADE). To develop a generic access mechanism to the different data sources identify the potential sources of Adverse Events
  • Work Process: This task will begin with an exhaustive inventory and description of the items available in the various data repositories. We will exploit existing databases in order to detect Adverse Events which have an impact on patients’ safety. Homogenization of information from heterogeneous computer systems from different hospitals stored in different formats will be driven in order to result in coherent and comparable data. An ontology based approach will be developed as it allows: knowledge sharing, knowledge reuse and logical inference. We will also begin indexing free text documents, especially those regarding healthcare indexed with the MeSH thesaurus.
  • Expected Results: Structures and Data Models of the Data repositories available in the PSIP project. Terminologies and standards applicable in the PSIP project. Data Models for Knowledge Elicitation.
