- Participants: AUTH, Acure, CHU Rouen, Medasys, Vidal.
- Objectives: To develop specifications for the representation of knowledge to be implemented in the Knowledge Base System (KBS) from the knowledge elicited in WP3 (Knowledge Elicitation). To develop specifications of knowledge representation structures to give access to the KBS and to a large variety of medical banks and thesauri. Definition of query and Inference mechanisms.
- Work Process: In this work package, a knowledge-based framework that will provide decision support services to healthcare profesionals, during the entire medication cycle and to patients in the compliance phase will be developed. The Knowledge base that will be defined will be able to: access the existing Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the Computerised Provider Order Entry (CPOE), integrate diverse and disparate medical data, give access to medical knowledge banks and thesauri. In order to provide this functionality, an intelligent query mechanism will be developed, enabling the execution of simple or complicated queries between different ontologies, diverse data sources, and hybrid ontologies and databases. Results elicited from the previous phases of the project, concerning the sources of errors leading to Adverse Drug Events (ADE) and the developed exploitable data structures will constitute the baseline of this work package.
- Expected Results: Intermediary knowledge framework, Final knowledge frame work with specifications, requirements and models, Final results.
