Work Project 10 - Prototype Patient Support Service

  • Participants: CHU Lille, KITE, Region H, Vidal
  • Objectives: To define the characteristics and the requirements of a prototype, called “Patient Component”. To design the Human Computer Interface (HCI) of the prototype for an easy access to intelligent and targeted information. To design and develop the system, integrating Patients Contextualised Clinical Decision Support System (Cx-CDSS) modules.
  • Work Process: Relying on the results of WP11 (Usability Engineering), the Patient Component will be designed to support the patient compliance and provide him with contextualised information. The Patient Component will be specially developed to reach the patients expectations and provide understandable information concerning prescribed drugs in a comprehensive personalised and contextualised manner. To provide these services, the Patient Component will have to be provided with all the relevant information concerning demographic characteristics, medical information and history and other relevant information which may trigger alerts. The Patient Component will not be integrated in professional applications. It will be accessible through information servers, websites, or in connection with personal Electronic Health Record (E.H.R). The architecture will be closely dependant on the technical characteristics of the Platform developed in WP5. The last task is to develop a prototype able to support patient compliance in the Prescription Dispensation Administration Compliance process(PDAC), first in hospitals and then at home. The prototype will be realised by means of a web server, the realisation of the latter will need to solve important aspects concerning privacy.
  • Expected Results: Characteristics of the prototype supporting the patient’s compliance, Producing a prototype Return to The Project
